Continued Improvement in U.S. Economic Confidence in May
“Gallop’s Economic Confidence Index surged to -7 in May, the highest monthly score since Gallop began tracking economic confidence daily in 2008.” Economic Confidence is based on Americans’ ratings of current economic conditions as well as their valuations of whether the economy is getting better or worse, both of which improved last month.
- 47% of Americans said the economy is getting better
- 21% of Americans rate the current U.S. economy as excellent or good
