Mark Whalls is the Co-Director of the Kaye/Bassman's Military Specialty Practice. The Military Specialty Practice compliments and supplements all Kaye/Bassman domains by providing the best and the brightest candidates from our Nation’s Armed Forces. During his career, Mark has assisted thousands of candidates in securing meaningful employment in areas such as semiconductor, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, sales, operations, project management, service management, pharmaceutical sales, bio-medical, commercial and residential construction. Mark’s client companies value his exceptional service. He prides himself on consistently delivering the right candidate to the right employer. Mark was promoted to Partner during his first year at Kaye/Bassman, a first time achievement in company history. Mark and practice partner Stephen Norred led the Kaye/Bassman Military Specialty Practice team to secure a first year company record in both placements and revenue. Mark brings nine years of military search experience. Prior to joining Kaye/Bassman, Mark had a successful career with one of the largest military search firms in the United States. He joined Kaye/Bassman in order to give corporate america the kind of exceptional client and candidate service that can only be provided by an executive search firm the caliber of Kaye/Bassman. Three months after joining the Navy in 1976, Mark was hand-picked from a brigade of recruits for special duty aboard the USS Constitution (Old Iron Sides) in Boston, MA. Mark served in Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Naval Magazine Guam, USS Sacramento Bremerton, WA, Navy Recruiting District Indianapolis, IN, Navy Recruiting District Michigan, Navy Recruiting District Columbia, SC, Navy Recruiting District New England and his final tour was at Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit Pensacola, FL. He served 22 years in the United States Navy achieving the highest enlisted rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. Mark played and coached baseball, softball, football and ice hockey while in the Navy. He has run over 13 marathons and still enjoys playing ice hockey in his spare time. Mark and his wife Michelle live in Plano, TX.
