Kaye/Bassman’s Private Wealth Management Practice is the nation's third largest retained financial services search group. Its efforts are evenly weighted in the following four disciplines:
1. C-Level Executive Search: Our extensive relationships in the industry make us an excellent resource for conducting difficult CEO, COO, CFO, and senior BDO searches. Often, these searches are initiated and managed by a Board of Directors or a holding company’s leadership in an effort to maximize the confidentiality of the search. We are active in the independent broker/dealer, regional full service, and Registered Investment Advisor channels.
2. Financial Advisor Search: This segment of the PWM practice focuses on recruiting the top 5% of the wealth management advisors in the top 20 US markets. Many of these advisors are part of national wire-houses. These advisors often seek smaller but powerful firms that offer fee-based consulting, unique equity research ideas, solid fixed-income resources, broad alternative investment selections and comprehensive insurance capabilities in an open architecture. We understand that these professionals desire the freedom to research and access any product for their clients and wish to remove the conflict of interest problem inherent in the large broker/dealer model.
3. Professional Money Manager Marketing: We assist established and emerging professional money managers reach the RIA, financial planning, regional banking, and independent broker/dealer community. We market one manager per asset class and offer that manager an exclusive with us. For Money Managers wishing to expand their distribution to this channel, we are an important part of the marketing effort.
4. Business Acquisition: We deliver strategic growth solutions to regional, independent, and Registered Investment Advisor firms seeking to grow through acquisition. We proactively approach a passive seller, allowing our client to work confidentially on a one-on-one basis. Through a retained and exclusive relationship with our clients, there is no bidding war with other potential buyers. In most cases, the target firm is one where the selling shareholder is not initially interested in being acquired. Because we have a thorough understanding of our client’s needs, we create the message needed to attract the appropriate organizations and communicate the advantages of integrating their business into that of our client.
