Mood Disorders Psychiatrist/Psychologist Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM) seeks faculty candidates at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level, with clinical and research expertise in Mood Disorders for a tenure track position. Board-Certified Psychiatrists and/or Ph.D. level Psychologists are encouraged to apply. The full-time position requires clinical and research experience with mood disorders, including depressive or bipolar disorders in adults and will be a core part of the growing clinical and translational research program in the Department of Psychiatry at UF. Faculty and staff within the department provide broad educational experiences in multifaceted programs while delivering quality care, backed by leading-edge research and exceptional customer service.

Your Role as the Mood Disorders Psychiatrist:
The Mood Disorders Psychiatrist/Psychologist will be a core part of the expansion of the clinical and translational research program in the UF Department of Psychiatry. S/he will round research expertise and take advantage of a robust clinical program with strength in depression, assessment, and care. To build a collaborative multidisciplinary translational research program in mood disorders.

The candidate will be a strong clinical researcher with collaborative experience in an academic setting; Teaching of postdoctoral fellows, residents, or grad students; Clinician who can also see patients and supervise.

Salary and academic rank for this position will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and academic background.

How Do You Qualify?:
Education/Certifications/Licensure

  • MD or DO degree; or PhD in Clinical Psychology or related field.
  • Current Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN certified) for MD/DO candidates.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited psychiatric residency training program or APA-accredited psychology internship.
  • Unrestricted State of Florida Medical License (current or eligible) or equivalent for psychologists.
