Job Title: Director of Preconstruction
Location: Farmersville, TX
The Director of Preconstruction will lead front-end project strategy, oversee estimating efforts, and support business growth across a diverse commercial project portfolio. This individual will work closely with operations, clients, and internal leadership to help drive successful project execution from pursuit through turnover.
Responsibilities
- Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts across multiple commercial projects
- Oversee and mentor a team of estimators
- Review pricing, proposals, bid strategy, and project risks
- Collaborate with operations and field leadership during planning and turnover
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, developers, GCs, and industry partners
- Support budgeting, value engineering, and conceptual estimating efforts
- Help drive process improvement and overall preconstruction strategy
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial construction preconstruction, estimating, or operations leadership
- Background with a commercial GC or specialty contractor
- Ability to lead teams while remaining hands-on in the work
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- Experience managing multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge of commercial construction pricing, contracts, and project delivery methods
