Job Title: Chief Construction Officer
Location: Addison, TX
The Chief Construction Officer will lead all construction operations for the company’s long-term growth, with a primary focus on providing operational oversight of the field and project management teams in all offices throughout the state of Texas.
Responsibilities Include:
- Complete oversight of construction operations, including project management and field supervision operations.
- Overall P&L responsibility for construction operations.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting in operations, including project-level forecasts and job cost projections.
- Work directly with the President and EVP to develop a strategy for construction operations and the company at large. Work with all other department leaders to drive the company’s strategic objectives.
- Implement Company strategy through the Regional Vice Presidents of Operations.
- Drive operational excellence throughout the organization with an emphasis on construction operations. This includes being actively involved in the development and implementation of training and development programs, QA/QC programs, etc.
- Assist with new business development and work procurement as needed.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Twenty+ years’ experience managing/leading Commercial projects, Education (K-12), or Multi-Family and Senior Living.
- Previous experience leading multiple groups of operational leaders.
- It requires understanding financial reporting at the project, group, departmental, and company levels.
- Previous P&L responsibility.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work productively with clients, owners, project professionals, and field and office staff.
- Ability to proactively identify problems and propose possible solutions.
- Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email software.
