AVEM Health has an opportunity for a Corporate Director of Human Resources. The Corporate Director, Human Resources will have comprehensive oversight of the entire human resources function of three (3) critical access hospitals and the corporate office at our new satellite office in Dallas, Texas (no relocation & no healthcare experience required). Position Summary:

As a pivotal leader, the Corporate Director of Human Resources will hold a strategic position and be instrumental in shaping and executing HR strategies and initiatives that harmonize with the company’s overarching goals and objectives. Functioning as a trusted advisor to the executive team, the Corporate Director of HR offers valuable guidance and expertise on a wide spectrum of HR matters. The right individual will have the dynamic enthusiasm and energy to bring AVEM to its next era of success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the areas of talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Develop and maintain compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain high-performing employees.
  • Oversee employee relations initiatives, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the HR budget and monitor departmental expenses.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in HR, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive team members to align HR strategies with business goals and objectives.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Required Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of HR Manager or Director level experience.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
