To continue this trajectory, faculty leaders in the Department of Family Medicine-Transmountain Campus are actively recruiting for a full-time Family Medicine Residency Program Director. The Family Medicine Residency Program Director will contribute to the university’s mission through teaching, research, and service while leading the strategic direction of the ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency program in an expanding department.

The Program is fully supported by an Associate Program Director and Core Faculty in Family Medicine
The Program Director reports to, and will work closely with, the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine – Transmountain, Dr. Peter Catinella

M.D. or D.O. degree
Licensed in Texas, or eligible for medical license in the State of Texas
Board Certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine or Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine Physicians
A minimum of (3) years of clinical experience in Family Medicine
A minimum of (3) years of educational and/or administrative experience
A minimum of (2) years of experience as core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited family medicine residency program.
Experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME) administration
Experience in teaching medical students
Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred but not required
Demonstrated track record in research and peer reviewed publications
Regional or emerging national recognition for the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor or Higher
A cross-cutting focus on rural health, underserved populations, and health disparities is strongly preferred.
