A successful, growing medical device startup is adding a newly created Manager of Marketing Communications role to their team. They have an innovative surgical product portfolio that treats a common and painful condition with 97% efficacy after the first treatment. The products have already been successfully used in thousands of cases. They have positive feedback from physicians and adoption is growing because of this differentiated technology. They recently closed a successful funding round that will support expanded adoption and product innovation.

The Opportunity:
In this role you will develop and execute marketing communication strategies to drive awareness and adoption for both HCPs and patients. You will own initiatives around content development, webinars, conferences, sales enablement tools and digital campaigns.
Because the products are disruptive and offer a proven clinical solution, much of your focus will be on creating differentiated strategies and tactics for market development. You will ensure brand strategy and messaging are effectively incorporated across all materials. You will track key KPIs around engagement and campaign performance and will also manage agencies and vendors supporting communication campaigns.
The MarCom team is small and nimble, so you’ll work across multiple MarCom functions as you create strategies for the products. The company’s headquarters are located in the North California’s Bay Area, but the team and company culture are remote-friendly and the role can be worked from any US location.
There is a large project management component to the role, and excellent communication skills are required, including written, oral and presentation skills. In this high-profile assignment you will work cross-functionally across the org chart with colleagues from sales, regulatory, legal, operations and other groups. Overnight travel is estimated at 15%.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of marketing communications experience in the med device space
  • Previous experience driving adoption for a disruptive product
  • Strong content development experience
  • Class III surgical experience
  • Small company or startup experience is a strong plus
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or similar
This position is fully remote and can be done from any US location. The compensation package includes a competitive base salary, annual target bonus and a generous equity package.
