We’ve been retained by a growing oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company seeking a Diagnostic Medical Science Liaisons (Diagnostic MSLs) to support precision medicine initiatives and biomarker testing excellence across the United States. These field-based Medical Affairs roles will partner closely with oncologists, pathologists, laboratory leaders, and key external experts to advance biomarker testing adoption and improve patient identification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with oncologists, pathologists, laboratory directors, and key external experts across the territory

• Provide scientific education on molecular diagnostics, biomarker testing methodologies, assay selection, and interpretation of test results

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and laboratories to identify and address barriers to biomarker testing, including workflow, access, turnaround time, and operational challenges

• Generate actionable field insights related to diagnostic pathways, testing practices, treatment decision-making, and the evolving biomarker landscape

• Inform Medical Affairs strategy through scientific intelligence, identification of evidence gaps, and emerging diagnostic trends

• Drive measurable improvements in biomarker testing adoption, time-to-test, and appropriate patient identification

• Support scientific congresses, advisory boards, and educational programs while serving as a trusted scientific resource

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, HEOR, and Commercial teams within compliance guidelines

• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory, legal, and Medical Affairs standards

Whom They’re Looking For:

• Advanced scientific degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL, Diagnostic Liaison, Molecular Liaison, or in a laboratory-facing scientific role

• Strong understanding of oncology biomarkers, molecular diagnostics, and precision medicine

• Experience working with pathology, laboratory, and oncology stakeholders preferred

• Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and diagnostic data to diverse audiences

• Proven success building scientific relationships and influencing diagnostic adoption through education and collaboration

• Strong strategic thinking, insight generation, and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities

• Ability to work independently in a highly matrixed environment

• Willingness to travel up to 75%
