The School Director is the senior leader responsible for overseeing all academic and operational functions of Healthcare Career College. This role ensures high-quality program delivery, strong student outcomes, operational efficiency, and institutional compliance in coordination with the Compliance Director. The School Director leads department heads, supports accreditation and regulatory requirements, and drives the overall performance and stability of the college.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
  • Oversee all academic programs, faculty, program directors, and instructional quality.
  • Ensure curriculum integrity, student learning outcomes, and adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Manage class schedules, faculty assignments, evaluations, and instructional support.
  • Oversee student academic issues, grievances, SAP, attendance, and progression.
Operational Management
  • Lead and supervise department managers.
  • Ensure efficient daily operations and a seamless student experience from inquiry to graduation and placement.
  • Develop and monitor institutional KPIs and ensure departmental goals align with the college’s mission.
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and profitability.
Compliance & Accreditation
  • Work closely with the Compliance Director to maintain institutional compliance with BPPE, COE, Title IV, and all governing agencies.
  • Support internal audits, reports, accreditation activities, and required documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and ensure operational processes remain compliant.
  • Ensure departments follow policies and procedures and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Leadership & Culture
  • Develop, mentor, and evaluate department managers and faculty.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, communication, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Support cross-departmental collaboration and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Participate in institutional planning, new initiatives, and strategic projects led by the CEO.
Financial & Institutional Performance
  • Monitor enrollment, retention, placement, and financial performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, student outcomes, and revenue.
  • Ensure responsible use of institutional resources and adherence to budget.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years in academic leadership, operations leadership, or school administration (vocational or higher ed preferred).
  • Strong understanding of accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated success supervising teams and managing multi-department operations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
