$1B+ product portfolio. Strategic focus.
A global leader in innovative biotechnology is expanding its commercial team and adding a Global Sr. Product Manager professional. Their market-leading portfolio of products includes a $1B+ market leading portfolio that has a significant presence in multiple global regions.

Responsibilities:
In this position you will develop new product and commercial strategies for a franchise of tests used to quickly and accurately diagnose infectious diseases. The role focuses on commercial strategy primarily for on-market products on a global scale with some downstream marketing focusing on a handful of key global markets. You will work with country managers in different regions to understand underserved needs, create market positioning and brand strategy and help them adapt the marketing strategies for their unique marketplace needs.

Specific duties include competitive analysis, market segmentation and product launches. You will lead the multi-year strategic direction as well as develop GTM strategies. The target customers are infectious disease physicians and c-suite professionals in the clinical diagnostics market, as well as laboratory personnel, so a major element of the role is to craft the value proposition for the franchise, set go-to-market strategy and drive adoption. The environment is data-driven, so the ability to make and defend recommendations with data is a core skill for this role. Due to the high-profile nature of these products, you will routinely present to the executive team. Other responsibilities include messaging, development of marketing materials, external agency management, and product positioning strategy. You will also work on cross-functional teams with counterparts in Sales, R&D, Clinical, and Regulatory, and present to senior management on a routine basis. Overnight travel is estimated at 25%.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
• 5+ years of work experience in the biotech industry (Diagnostics, Biotech, Medical Device or Pharmaceutical)
• Upstream and downstream marketing experience
• Experience with both product launch and established products
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree or better in Life Sciences is required; MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred

A highly competitive base salary is provided, along with an industry leading bonus and corporate benefits package. This position will be based in the Chicago area; financial assistance for relocation is provided.

If you are a self-starter who enjoys the challenges and rewards of working in a technical, high-growth market, and if your background matches these qualifications, please apply.
