Job Title: Vice President of Operations

The Vice President of Operations will lead the Austin business unit for a leading commercial general contractor renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects across diverse sectors. This executive role entails overseeing all operational facets, ensuring project excellence, and driving strategic growth within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and manage day-to-day operations, including project management, field operations, and administrative functions, to ensure efficiency and quality.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies that align with company objectives and promote regional growth.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to achieve profitability targets.

  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Client Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Quality and Safety Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety across all projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry leading with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects and leading diverse teams.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
