Job Title: Development Construction Manager
Location: Houston, TX

The Developer Construction Manager will oversee the construction process as retail developments move through the building phase. This position will interact with owners, design teams, and general contractors, to ensure project goals are met. This position requires 50% travel.

Responsibilities include:

• Onsite/Offsite preconstruction, ongoing construction and close-out meetings
• Consultant coordination (Architect, Engineer, Structural, MEP, Landscape)
• Budgets/scopes of work/Project Accounting
• Monitoring design intent for construction documents
• Bidding/estimating, evaluations, selection of qualified contractor, creation and execution of contracts
• Submittal control/compliance
• Documentation of progress/schedule
• Plan and specification compliance
• Understanding of the construction process
• Review and approve invoices
• Process Change Orders
• Assemble and coordinate close-out documents
• Value engineering of design
• Quality control of documents and Field Observations
• Understanding of safe Construction Practices
• Ability to communicate with tenants, contractors, owners and Executives
