A Fortune 500 Medical Device company in the San Francisco Bay Area is adding new marketing professionals to their global marketing team. Their revenues grew double-digit YOY last year, with strong growth predicted for 2024 as well. Their cardiology portfolio includes innovative solutions for multiple cardiac and vascular conditions. This team focuses on heart failure, from early-stage diagnostic tools to Class III implantables for patients with advanced heart failure. One of the company’s flagship products sits in this business unit, it is used for connected care heart failure diagnostics and monitoring.

The Opportunity:
The team is adding a Global Product Manager role to the team. In this role, you will lead the early phase commercial assessment, valuation, Voice of Customer and target product profiling for new heart failure therapies. The product portfolio has both implantable hardware and software elements, providing remote patient data clinicians use to make treatment decisions. The products are market leaders with a high degree of technical and clinical complexity and strong growth forecasted.
You will lead product strategy, including gathering Voice of Customer, defining customer and patient needs and early lifecycle planning leading up to global commercialization. The Manager will conduct Advisory Boards and Roundtable meetings, interacting extensively with Key Opinion Leaders in the global heart failure community, staying abreast of clinical trends and translating their clinical needs into product specifications. You will develop go-to-market strategy, identify global market opportunities, build business cases and ultimately be responsible for the on-going success of this high-growth product line.
This is a fast-paced assignment that’s ideal for a self-starter. It will require close coordination with external customers as well as internal colleagues on cross-functional development teams. In addition to partnering closely with product development teams, you will serve as the clinical and product expert in the field, at sales meetings and medical congresses. You will also monitor and report on competitive intelligence to define future portfolio strategy. Overnight travel is estimated at 25%.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of med device upstream Class III implantable marketing experience
• Experience with new product development with hardware + software products
• Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA or equivalent preferred

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area (East Bay). Financial assistance is available for relocation support.

Their compensation package includes a large annual target bonus and a generous equity package. The annual base salary range offered for this position at the start of employment is anticipated to be between $109,000-$218,000 per year.
