Strategic challenge. Innovative technology. A highly profitable global multinational Medical Device company is developing disruptive technology in the Class III implantable device space. The portfolio includes complex surgical Class III devices in the structural heart, vascular and cardiac spaces. They are adding new marketing professionals to their global commercial team. The team has multiple highly disruptive launches planned over the next 5 years as well as ongoing support for commercially successful products. These launches include first-in-class, highly anticipated products in the cardiac surgery space. The Opportunity The Marketing Manager will plan and execute new product launches on a global basis for multiple global regions. The product portfolio serves a significant unmeet need in the cardiac space and is extremely complex; it features both surgical implementation and ongoing remote patient monitoring. This role includes regular communication with the highest levels of industry and internal leadership, including business unit and c-suite leaders. You’ll report into a highly regarded and experienced manager who has a track record of successfully developing the people on her team.
The new technologies are new, disruptive approaches and clinically superior to existing brands, so your challenge will be to create awareness and expand the market, rather than shifting market share. You will own go-to-market strategy, product positioning, messaging and pricing/reimbursement strategy for all global markets. You will develop annual marketing plans and provide insights about the competitive landscape. You will work closely with Key Opinion Leaders in the implantable and surgical communities to develop them as advocates for new technology, plan and implement Advisory Boards, and manage medical education and trade show programming. They are organized in a matrix structure and you will serve as the commercial leader on cross-functional teams with colleagues from product development, sales, finance, regulatory, operations and medical affairs. There is a large project management component to the role, and excellent communication skills are required, including written, oral and presentation skills. Their rapidly expanding organization means there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement. Overnight travel is estimated at 30%.
Qualifications: • 7+ years medical device marketing experience • Evidence of successful product launch and downstream marketing experience • A Bachelor’s Degree or better is required; as is an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred
This position will be based in the Austin, TX, area. A generous relocation package is available.
Their compensation package includes a large annual target bonus and a generous equity package. The annual base salary range offered for this position at the start of employment is anticipated to be between $102,000-$205,000 per year.
