NYADI – High School Admissions Representative – Position Overview

Summary

This position will deliver approved presentations to high school students in a classroom or auditorium setting and represent NYADI during various other public events. The individual will commit the time and effort to visit high schools in the five boroughs in order to establish relationships with school officials. In coordination with departmental leadership, the individual will develop a high school visitation plan. This individual will generate qualified inquiries through high school presentations. A secondary responsibility of the position will be to provide leadership and participation for public events. Lastly, this position will perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Completes compliance, certification and associated training to develop concrete Admissions knowledge that is conducted with utmost integrity and business ethics.
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of all program offerings.
  • Establish relationships through outreach efforts with high school community.
  • Schedule daily high school activities including administrator meetings, counselor meetings, educator meetings, classroom presentations, events, and interviews.
  • Deliver structured presentations/information to high school community.
  • Represent NYADI at organized high school events.
  • Identify and collect interested student inquiries.
  • Accurately and completely explain educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial considerations to students, parents, and educators.
  • Provides excellent customer service to students through application process.
  • Assist other personnel and departments with data collection and problem solving.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Charismatic with high energy.
  • Experience in public relations and sales.
  • Must be comfortable in public speaking setting.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to perform tasks independently.
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently service potential students at a high level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, instructors, administrators, and student populations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving resolution skills
