Job Overview

NYADI is looking for an Admissions Advisor who is persuasive, persistent, and effective. Your main focus will be to understand the prospective students’ situation, interests and motivations, match students with the programs that would most benefit them, and convert prospective students into enrolled students. You will be responsible for inspiring the students to remain motivated to pursue their dreams from enrollment until their start date.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Understanding of admissions requirements and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, networking, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in people and a strong desire to help students achieve their educational goals.
  • Must be a persuasive communicator with an ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Experience with specific schools may be a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (any other software programs, i.e. CRM?).
  • Must be goal oriented, assertive, results driven, proactive, high energy, and highly ethical.
  • Must enjoy telephone work, with the ability to execute a high volume of outbound phone calls in a well-organized manner.
  • 2-3 years of business development experience or experience working with high school and/or adult learners.
  • S. diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to requests for information about the school.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective students about programs offered by the College.
  • Contact students who have expressed interest in the school, conducting virtual and in-person advising sessions, and following up with students until their start.
  • Call leads.
  • Set appointments for prospective students to visit the school.
  • Conduct interviews, tour and evaluate each prospective student based on his/her needs, desires,
  • interests, qualifications, motivations and commitments
  • Achieve enrollment goals according to program start dates.
  • Present information in a factual and ethical manner to prospective students and others regarding school programs, and other policies and procedures, which affect students.
  • Achieve daily productivity goals in the key result areas of the admission process, including outbound calls, setting appointments, conducting successful interviews and enrollments.
  • Keep up to date about all College programs.
  • Monitor student satisfaction and retention closely through the first five days of the program, communicating with the Campus Director of Admissions of any potential concerns, which might affect students’ ability to complete program.
  • Participate actively in recruitment and marketing efforts, on and off campus.
  • Develop reports about admissions activity for the Campus Director of Admissions and provide input to increase effectiveness of admissions process.
  • Maintain compliance with school admissions and student file requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
