A Fortune 500 Medical Device company in the San Francisco Bay Area is adding new marketing professionals to their global marketing team. Their portfolio of products includes first-in-class cardiology implantable devices and imaging/diagnostic products used during interventional procedures. These products are minimally invasive, have strong clinical data, are cost effective and improve patient lives. The portfolio few double digits year over year last year and continues to grow with new indications and launches.

The Opportunity:
In this high-profile assignment the Global Marketing Manager will lead the early phase commercial assessment, valuation, Voice of Customer and target product profiling for new therapies used in the cath lab to treat coronary vascular disease. You will lead the organization through concept testing, defining user requirements and early lifecycle planning leading up to global commercialization. The Manager will conduct Advisory Boards and Roundtable meetings, interacting extensively with Key Opinion Leaders in the global Cardiovascular community, staying abreast of clinical trends and translating their clinical needs into product specifications. You will identify and qualify global product market opportunities, build business cases and ultimately be responsible for the on-going success of this high-growth coronary device product line.
This is a fast-paced assignment that’s ideal for a self-starter. It will require close coordination with external customers as well as internal colleagues on cross-functional development teams. In addition to partnering closely with product development teams, you will serve as the clinical and product expert in the field, at sales meetings and medical congresses. You will also monitor and report on competitive intelligence to define future portfolio strategy.
The Global Manager will work with regional, downstream marketing counterparts in different regions around the world to help them adapt the global marketing strategies for their own marketplace needs. The international scope of the position will require the ability to differentiate clinical needs and practices from one country to another, and to provide internal R&D colleagues customized commercial direction for each region. Overnight travel is estimated at 20%.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of med device upstream marketing experience
• Experience conducting VOC with complex surgical medical device products
• Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA or equivalent preferred

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area (South Bay). Financial assistance is available for relocation support.

Their compensation package includes a large annual target bonus and a generous equity package. The annual base salary range offered for this position at the start of employment is anticipated to be between $109,000-$218,000 per year.
