We are a supportive organization with extensive resources and are seeking a dynamic and visionary, board-certified Anesthesiology physician educator to contribute to the development of the inaugural Anesthesiology Residency Program at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital with Seven Hills Anesthesia Practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Program Director of the Anesthesiology Residency Program is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and general administration of the Anesthesiology Residency Program sponsored by TriHealth. The Program Director will support and amplify our longstanding commitment to Graduate Medical Education (GME) by positioning the Anesthesiology Residency as a premier training program in Ohio and beyond. The anticipated launch date for the fully sponsored, ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program is expected to begin July 2027, and will accept a total of 24 residents. TriHealth GME continues to build and train in the highly competitive Cincinnati region, with the goal of retaining providers, expanding access to quality care in rural areas and establishing TriHealth as a major teaching hospital.

Position Requirements – The Program Director must:
  • Possess the required specialty expertise and at least three (3) years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in Graduate Medical Education, or qualifications acceptable to the Review Committee, to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program
  • Be certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or hold credentials deemed equivalent to Certification by the ACGME’s Anesthesiology Residency Review Committee.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence as a practicing physician.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as teaching faculty in an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.
  • Must be appointed in good standing to the Bethesda North and/or Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Staff.
  • Have unrestricted credentials within the Department of Anesthesiology of TriHealth and be licensed to practice medicine by the State of Ohio by date of hire.
  • Medical Degree: MD or DO is required.
