We also house vibrant research programs that include ongoing clinical trials, actively initiating studies to bring new therapies and diagnostic tests to patients in Greater Cincinnati and around the world.
The Breast Cancer Medical Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, operational management, and prevention of breast cancer at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center/UC Health. This role involves overseeing clinical services, research initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach efforts to improve breast cancer incidence and outcome. The Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to advance the center’s mission of excellence in breast cancer treatment, research, and education.
Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent degree) with board certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology and Oncology and board eligibility in Internal Medicine. -
Publications and experience that would qualify applicant for academic rank of associate professor. -
Minimum of 5 years of independent clinical experience in breast cancer treatment. -
Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an NCI designated cancer center. -
Demonstrated experience in performance of leading investigator initiated or industry phase 1 or 2 clinical trials that impact breast cancer outcome. -
Strong knowledge of breast cancer treatment modalities, clinical research, and healthcare management. -
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Competitive Salary + Benefits:
$64.80/RVU for RVUs above their target $32,000 – $39,000 in value-based incentives Sign-on bonus (dependent upon rank, subspecialty, and relocation) $1,000/year for every year at UC
