A full-time faculty position is available for a Breast Cancer-focused Medical Oncologist in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology. This position joins an active Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Program within the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center that is triple accreditation from the NAPBC (National Accreditation Program of Breast Centers), NQMBC (National Quality Metrics of Breast Centers), and the ACR (American College of Radiology). The Breast Cancer Medical Oncologist will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to advance the center’s mission of excellence in breast cancer treatment, research, and education.

Position Requirements:
  • Medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent degree) with board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology or Hematology and Oncology and board eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Licensed or eligible for Ohio Medical License.
  • Publications and/or experience that would qualify applicant for academic rank of assistant/associate professor or higher.
  • Expertise and clinical experience in breast cancer treatment.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an NCI designated cancer center.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance of investigator initiated or industry phase 1 or 2 clinical trials that impact breast cancer outcome is preferred.
  • Knowledge of breast cancer treatment modalities, clinical research, and healthcare management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Competitive Salary + Benefits:

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, faculty can obtain research funding, startup packages, protected time, incentive compensation, and variable compensation. At this time, in addition to base salary, faculty can earn:

  • $64.80/RVU for RVUs above their target
  • $32,000 – $39,000 in value-based incentives
  • Sign-on bonus (dependent upon rank, subspecialty, and relocation)
  • $1,000/year for every year at UC
