The Department of Internal Medicine is currently searching for a Division Director in the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. The Director will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, John C. Byrd, MD. This individual will lead the division in alignment with our tripartite clinical care, research, and education missions. In addition, this individual will support robust residency and medical student training expectations and provide mentoring and administrative support to those delegated to direct this endeavor.

The Division Director will be expected to lead a team of academicians from varied backgrounds. They will need to be highly skilled in communication and relationship-building to support and motivate interdisciplinary teams, convey integrity, adapt to change, and empathize with patients. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or commensurate degree.
  • Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.
  • Unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
Required Experience
  • Current faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
  • At least 10 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership and management experience at a medical facility.
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • MBA and/or strong business acumen.
  • Previous success in building and leading a large, interdisciplinary team.
