Job Title: Controller

Job Summary:
Seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead financial operations for a growing construction and engineering firm. This role partners closely with project managers and executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, scalable systems, and strong fiscal performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial processes including job cost accounting, corporate accounting, and monthly close.

Lead WIP reporting and revenue recognition in collaboration with operations and leadership.

Maintain and improve forecasting tools (P&L, revenue, cash flow) to guide decision-making.

Present monthly financials with analysis of variances and trends to executive team.

Implement controls and processes to improve financial accuracy and visibility.

Manage CPA coordination for tax filings and financial reviews.

Ensure sales tax compliance and bonding program management.

Oversee ERP system integrations across financial and project management software.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).

8+ years in construction accounting, with 3+ years in a Controller role.

Strong knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting and WIP.

Proficiency with Sage Intacct, Procore, and other construction software.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

CCIFP certification preferred; active involvement in CFMA a plus.
