Job Title: Director of Preconstruction
Location: Celina, TX
The Director of Preconstruction will lead and oversee all preconstruction activities for our diverse portfolio of projects. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless transition from project inception through design and into construction, while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction, budget adherence, and schedule optimization.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the preconstruction department.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Project Planning & Estimating:

Oversee the preparation of conceptual, schematic, and design development estimates.

Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize project outcomes.

Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and bid strategies.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Lead proposal presentations and participate in client interviews.

Ensure clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders.

Risk Management & Compliance:

Identify and assess potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies.
-
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies.

Review and approve contract documents, qualifications, and assumptions.

Process Improvement & Reporting:

Implement and refine preconstruction processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Provide regular reports on preconstruction activities, budgets, and schedules to senior management.

Lead post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction management.

Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing teams.

Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
