Job Title: Director of Senior Behavioral Health
Location: Columbus, Nebraska
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Senior Behavioral Health to lead our specialized inpatient/outpatient program for older adults. The Director will oversee clinical operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and manage a dedicated interdisciplinary team focused on the mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being of seniors. This role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Senior Behavioral Health program.

Supervise nursing and clinical staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards and organizational policies.

Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care policies, procedures, and treatment protocols.

Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation regulations.

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.

Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage departmental budget, staffing schedules, and resource allocation.

Serve as a role model for compassionate, patient-centered care.
Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, in good standing.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in behavioral health or geriatric care.

Prior leadership/management experience strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, best practices, and clinical standards.
