We invite you to join our award-winning team during this exciting time as an Inpatient/Outpatient Psychiatrist (Adult and/or Child) of the Psychiatry Faculty Practice (PFP), in collaboration with SUNY Upstate Medical University. The successful candidate will be specialty trained in Adult and/or Child Inpatient/Outpatient Hospitalist and will join a group of 50 faculty working together to teach and provide patient care across a system of adult and child psychiatry services. Recent graduates and candidates with interests in working evening shifts are encouraged to apply. Salary, rank, and tenure consideration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate from an accredited college of allopathic or osteopathic medicine. Valid, unencumbered New York State Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine License or an equivalent license issued by another state and eligibility for a New York license, which must be obtained within six months of employment. Board certification or board-eligible in Adult or Child Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Possession of a valid, unencumbered Controlled Substance Registration certificate issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration, schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 and 5. Demonstrated experience as a practicing psychiatrist in an academic or psychiatry practice group setting, including experience providing clinical supervision is preferred. -
Strong diagnostic skills and the potential to serve as an outstanding educator of medical students and residents.
