The Internal Medicine Residency Program Director provides comprehensive leadership, oversight, and administration for an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program (21 residents). This leadership position combines clinical excellence with educational innovation to develop the next generation of internists in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Job Requirements
Education & Certification
  • Medical degree from an LCME or AOA COCA-accredited institution
  • Current board certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
  • Faculty appointment at affiliated medical school available, commensurate with experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
  • Minimum 3 years of documented educational and/or administrative experience following residency completion
  • Ongoing clinical practice requirement in Internal Medicine throughout tenure
  • Previous experience in curriculum development, resident mentoring, and quality improvement preferred
Time Commitment & Administrative Support
Dedicated Effort
  • Minimum 50% FTE dedication (at least 20 hours per week) to administrative and educational activities
  • Maximum 50% clinical role balance including supervision of resident continuity clinics
  • Available and accessible to residents at primary teaching site(s)
