Job Title: MEP Manager
Location: Dallas, TX
The MEP Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities on assigned projects. This role involves leading preconstruction efforts, managing subcontractors, supporting field operations, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities

Lead all MEP coordination efforts during preconstruction and construction phases

Review contract documents and provide input on MEP-related scopes

Manage and oversee MEP subcontractors from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover

Support scheduling efforts for MEP activities, including critical path analysis

Oversee procurement and approval of MEP equipment and materials

Monitor installation, start-up, and commissioning of MEP systems

Facilitate communication with owners, architects, engineers, and project teams regarding MEP matters

Chair weekly MEP coordination meetings and track project progress

Provide technical guidance and assist in resolving field-related MEP issues

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and quality expectations

Support project closeout, including documentation, as-builts, and warranty requirements

Mentor and develop MEP coordinators and junior staff
Qualifications
-
5–10 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction with a focus on MEP coordination
-
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
-
Experience with mission critical projects (healthcare, data centers, telecommunications, or similar) preferred
-
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent experience

Proven leadership and team management skills

Proficiency with construction scheduling and coordination software (e.g., MS Office, Bluebeam, project scheduling tools)

PE certification a plus
