Job Title: President of Federal Construction
Location: Kansas City, MO

An employee-owned leader in waste/water and infrastructure construction is seeking an experienced professional to lead its federal construction division. This role involves overseeing complex federal projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving strategic growth within the federal sector. This person will be based in Kansas City, Denver, Dallas, or Charlotte.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all federal construction projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with federal clients and regulatory agencies.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations and quality standards.

  • Align federal project execution with broader company objectives and strategy.

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new federal business opportunities and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction management, with at least 5 years focused on federal projects.

  • Demonstrated success in managing federal construction contracts and teams.

  • In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and project delivery standards.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Design-Build and CMAR delivery methods.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP or DBIA are advantageous.
