Job Summary
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and project team in coordinating, documenting, and executing project activities. This role assists with reviewing drawings, preparing submittals, maintaining schedules, and ensuring communication flows effectively among all project stakeholders. The Project Engineer works under general supervision and performs daily tasks essential to project organization and progress.
Responsibilities Include:
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Prepare the initial submittal registry for Project Manager review.
• Distribute approved and reviewed submittals to appropriate project stakeholders.
• Draft reports, logs, and project correspondence relating to submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other documentation for Project Manager review.
• Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining the project schedule.
• Support project coordination efforts between field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams.
• Maintain organized project records, logs, and documentation.
• Provide general project support as needed to ensure smooth workflow and timely issue resolution.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction supervisory work (e.g., foreman or lead role).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner or equivalent scheduling software.
• Working knowledge of Procore Project Management or equivalent construction management platform.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
