Job Title: Senior Manager Global Market Access Strategy – Biotech

A global leader in innovative biotechnology is expanding its commercial team and adding a Senior Manager to the Global Market Access team. Their market-leading products include a $1B+ portfolio that has a significant presence in multiple global regions. The products offer reliable, life-saving technologies used to diagnose infectious diseases and are fast, accurate and easy to use. These products are high priority and high visibility within the company and industry with significant innovation and new product development in the pipeline.
Responsibilities:
You will lead the multi-year strategic market access direction for this diagnostic portfolio in the infectious disease space. These products have a strong worldwide presence, so you will work with stakeholders in multiple global regions to understand underserved needs for payers and policymakers. There’s a special focus on understanding the developed markets of the US, EU and Japan. The mark of success in this position is the ability to synthesize insights with a strong commercial strategic approach and move forward to create market access strategies.
You will conduct market research and gather external subject matter expert insights to understand the key evidence requirements and value drivers for the space. As the products move to go-to-market, you will shape the market access value proposition and launch strategy. The ability to make and defend recommendations with data is a core skill for this role. Because of the high-profile nature of these products within the company and industry, you will routinely present to the executive team. You will also work on cross-functional teams with counterparts in Clinical, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Regulatory. Overnight travel is estimated at 25%.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- 10+ years of market access, HEOR or pricing experience in the biopharma, diagnostics or medical device industry
- Global experience across multiple developed markets
- Strong communication and presentation skills with executive stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Life Sciences is required; MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.
