Job Title: Vice President of Medical Affairs

What You’ll Do
As VP of Medical Affairs, you will:
Build the function: Establish the Medical Affairs vision, infrastructure, SOPs, and team at Empower.
Drive scientific credibility: Serve as the voice of science with prescribers, payers, regulators, and professional organizations.
Oversee compliance: Provide leadership on DEA-controlled substances and ensure all practices align with FDA, DEA, and state requirements.
Engage stakeholders: Lead scientific exchange, develop education initiatives, and ensure prescribers view Empower as a trusted partner.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Regulatory, Quality, Pharmacovigilance, and Commercial teams to ensure patient safety and organizational alignment.

Who You Are
PharmD, MD, NP, or PA with 10+ years in clinical, regulatory, and/or Medical Affairs roles.
Deep understanding of controlled substances and DEA/FDA oversight.
Proven experience in building Medical Affairs functions and leading cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communicator who builds trust with clinicians, regulators, and internal stakeholders alike.
Energized by complexity, challenge, and the opportunity to create something new.
