Scott most recently served as CEO of AE Riley, LLC, where he led recruitment initiatives across a broad spectrum of higher education institutions. Throughout his career, he has partnered with traditional and private universities, proprietary colleges, and mission-driven organizations, helping them build high-performing leadership teams. His disciplined, results-focused approach is shaped by both his educational background and his distinguished service in the United States Army, where he held leadership roles including Communications Instructor and Commander of American Legion Post 34 in Cave Creek, Arizona.

In his new role, Scott Heroldt will co-lead the Academic Leadership Practice at Kaye/Bassman International alongside Eric Dickerson, a seasoned executive search leader with nearly two decades at the firm. Scott’s extensive experience in higher education recruitment complements Eric’s proven track record of more than 350 successful academic medicine searches for Deans, Chairs, Directors, and other key leadership roles.
