1. Company

This well-established, publicly traded global medical technology company brings a decades-long track record in neurological and cardiac care. Its implantable neuromodulation therapy has been a trusted treatment option for patients with drug-resistant epilepsy for many years, and it is now backed by a newly completed, multi-year, multi-center real-world outcomes study with a wave of fresh peer-reviewed publications. Rather than relying on volume tactics, the company has deliberately invested in a field medical team focused on rebuilding scientific partnerships with academic epilepsy centers, and that team has nearly doubled in size since it launched.

2. The Role They Will Play

As the scientific face of the company across a multi-state Pacific Northwest and Upper Midwest territory, this Medical Science Liaison turns a mature but underutilized therapy into a story physicians can act on. Day to day, you will partner with epileptologists, neurosurgeons, and care teams at comprehensive epilepsy centers to explain mechanism of action, share new clinical data, and support optimal patient selection and device programming. Unlike many siloed pharma field medical roles, this team works closely and compliantly alongside commercial partners. With a team in build mode and leadership that rewards merit, the role offers a clear runway from MSL to Senior MSL and beyond.

3. Background Profile

The ideal candidate is a scientist first and a storyteller second: someone who genuinely digests the data, can field hard questions from academic KOLs, and can explain how a device-based therapy works in the same mechanistic terms physicians use for medications.

  • Expertise in neuroscience, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Prior Medical Science Liaison experience in pharma, biotech, or medical device strongly preferred; exceptional first-time MSLs with deep neuroscience research backgrounds will be considered.
  • Exposure to epilepsy, neurology, and/or implantable medical devices or neuromodulation.
  • Working knowledge of compliant field medical practice: scientific exchange, KOL engagement, and appropriate collaboration with sales colleagues.
  • Comfort interpreting and presenting large clinical datasets and peer-reviewed publications, with strong scientific storytelling skills.
  • PhD (neuroscience strongly preferred), PharmD, or MD; DNP or other advanced practice clinicians with a strong research background will be considered.
  • Must reside in the territory (ideally Minnesota or the Washington/Oregon region) or be willing to relocate.

4. Location

  • Field-based role covering Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, and surrounding states; relocation considered for the right candidate.
