The Senior Project Manager will lead the execution of a large scale ground-up projects. This role will oversee the project from preconstruction through turnover, providing leadership to the project team while serving as the primary point of contact for the owner, design partners, and key subcontractors.
The ideal candidate has successfully delivered large-scale commercial projects, understands the financial and operational aspects of construction, and is comfortable making decisions that keep complex projects on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project delivery from planning through final closeout.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
- Direct project engineers, assistant project managers, and administrative staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
- Coordinate procurement activities and subcontractor buyout strategy.
- Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
- Monitor project financial performance and proactively address cost or schedule risks.
- Work closely with field leadership to ensure quality, productivity, and safety objectives are achieved.
- Drive communication across internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Ensure contract requirements, permitting, inspections, and closeout activities are completed successfully.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor.
- Demonstrated success leading large, complex commercial projects exceeding $50M, with experience on projects approaching or exceeding $100M preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project controls.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Preferred Background
Experience with large public or institutional projects such as healthcare, aviation, higher education, municipal, transportation, or other technically complex commercial developments is highly desirable.
