With a distinguished career spanning more than three decades in senior leadership roles across selective liberal arts colleges and top-tier research universities, Lou brings unmatched expertise and perspective to the team.
Before joining Kaye/Bassman, Lou had a successful tenure as an executive search consultant specializing in higher education. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Student Affairs at Case Western Reserve University, where he retired in 2023 after a notable career. Throughout his professional journey, Lou has worked closely with institutional leadership, mid-level managers, and Boards of Trustees, giving him deep insight into organizational dynamics, culture, and leadership fit.

Lou holds a B.S. in Psychology from Davis and Elkins College and an M.S. in Counselor Education from Hofstra University, where he graduated with distinction. He has also completed advanced studies in higher education and holds a Certificate in Management from Tulane University. An active contributor to the field, Lou currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Davis and Elkins College and has served on the NCAA Management Council for Division III.
