Ascension St. Vincent continues to expand our Women’s Services in Evansville and the Southern Region.
Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is seeking a Full-Time BC/BE Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join our elite team of eight physicians and five advanced practice practitioners. The OB/GYN physician will partner with Ascension’s newly renovated Hospital for Women and Children to provide high-acuity women’s health care services to patients in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P). Position Highlights
- Call Schedule: No Nights, Weekend On-Call Duties! Backup Call for Primary Coverage
- Clinical Focus: Full-scope OB/GYN in a clinic and hospital setting. Work with a strong statewide service line to continue growth and market share
- Practice Setting: Main clinic is located one floor Labor and Delivery; Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic and Women’s Psychology are located within the same facility. Hospital for Women and Children is co-located within main Ascension St. Vincent Evansville hospital
- Service Area: Well established primary care base in the city and surrounding area that includes 30 Counties/910,000 Population Service Area. Outreach locations within the city – less than 15 minutes from the main campus

Responsibilities
- Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
- Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
- Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
- Must hold a valid Indiana medical license upon hire
- Expertise in OB/GYN practices
- Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting
- Working knowledge of multidisciplinary collaboration
- BS in Medicine or equivalent experience, board certified in OB/GYN required
